Sacred Wisdom

Sacred Wisdom

A long time ago, human beings were actually gods, but they so abused their divinity that Brahma, the chief god, believed that their divinity should be taken away from them.   He called a council to discuss the matter and posed the question of where he should hide the divinity of humanity.  Some gods said that it should be buried in the deepest part of the Earth, but Brahma objected, stating that humans would dig deeply into the Earth and someday find it.  Another suggested that it should be tossed in the ocean to be hidden on the bottom, but Brahma said that human beings would eventually go to the bottom of the sea and reclaim it.  Another then said, “Let us secure it on the top of the highest mountain,” and again Brahma objected, saying that humanity would scale all the mountains on Earth and recover it.  Finally, after much thought, Brahma stated that he would sink this divinity deep into the center of each human being, for they would never think to look for it there.  And since that time, humanity has been digging, diving, climbing, and looking over the whole Earth, seeking that which is already within.1
